Dr. Amit Padvi graduated from Pune University, India, in 2002. He completed his specialisation in anaesthesia and Fellowship in paediatric anaesthesia from India. Since 2009 he has been exclusively practising paediatric anaesthesia. Before joining Al Jalila Children’s, Dr. Amit was consultant paediatric anesthesiologist at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. He also worked as assistant professor in paediatric anaesthesia at the prestigious King Edward Memorial hospital, Mumbai. He specialized in USG guided regional anaesthesia techniques and acquired skills in handling difficult airway. He has been actively involved in teaching undergraduates, postgraduate residents, nursing staff, and paramedical staff. He was a trainer in Simulation Training Programmes in Anaesthesia at D. Y. Patil Medical College, Mumbai, and has contributed to numerous research programmes. Besides having written in national and international publications, Dr. Amit is also associated with various professional societies in anaesthesia.
