Prior to that, Dr. Abdulbaki was practicing in the United States until he relocated to the Gulf region in 2004.

Dr. Abdulbaki received his medical degree from the University of Damascus in Syria. He completed his residency and fellowship in Internal Medicine, Nephrology and Renal Transplantation at St. John Hospital and Medical Center of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, USA.

He resides in Abu Dhabi with his wife and three children and enjoys traveling, reading and music.
