Dr. Ammar Abdulbaki

Dr. Ammar Abdulbaki, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Nephrology department of the Medical Subspecialties Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Dr. Abdulbaki is a key member of the Kidney Transplant team at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and a member of the UAE National Transplant Committee.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Abdulbaki was the head of the Kidney Transplant section at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He also previously served as a Consultant Physician and Medical Director of the Organ Transplant Division at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi. Prior to that, Dr. Abdulbaki was practicing in the United States until he relocated to the Gulf region in 2004.

Dr. Abdulbaki received his medical degree from the University of Damascus in Syria. He completed his residency and fellowship in Internal Medicine, Nephrology and Renal Transplantation at St. John Hospital and Medical Center of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, USA.

He resides in Abu Dhabi with his wife and three children and enjoys traveling, reading and music.
