Qualifications
Dr. Sarwat graduated from University of Cairo Medical School, Egypt, in 1986. He completed his M.Sc. in General Surgery from University of Ain Shams, Egypt and further completed his fellowship from Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCS)
He is a member of national, regional and international spine societies including AO Spine International, Switzerland. Dr. Sarwat has published his work in international journals and presented his experience in several local and international conferences.
Experience
Dr. Amr Mohamed Sarwat is a Neurosurgeon who predominantly treats and operates on adult spinal pathology, including disc prolepses in neck and back, trauma and fracture surgery and complex spinal surgeries. He has over 15 years of experience in spinal surgery. He adopts a conservative approach to most spinal problems and operates after exhausting non-surgical modalities. He uses pain management techniques such as epidurals and blocks to facilitate rehabilitation based treatment modality. Interventional pain management procedures are carried out on a day case basis.
Dr. Sarwat was earlier associated with Tawam Hospital Abu Dhabi as Specialist Spine Neuro Surgeon and is in active private practice in Dubai as Specialist Spine Neuroseon from January 2007 onwards.
