Dr. Andrew Saffin

Dr. Andrew Saffin, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Anesthesiology Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Saffin worked at a private practice in South Africa, providing services to three large multispecialty private hospitals in Port Elizabeth, with a special interest in Acute Pain Management.

Dr. Saffin received his medical degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He completed his residency at Port Elizabeth Hospital Complex under the patronage of the College of Anaesthetists of South Africa.

Dr. Saffin has gained vast experience from covering all fields of general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, ultrasound guided nerve blocks and sedations. He has also spent time working in Cape Town in the Anaesthesiology Department of the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital and at Groote Schuur Hospital, in both the public and private intensive care units.

Dr. Saffin resides in Abu Dhabi and makes regular trips home to see his family. He enjoys all forms of outdoor activities and holds a scuba diving license.​
