Dr. Anju Mary Varughese

She is working as a specialist obstetrics and gynecology in Ahalia Hospital Hamdan since 2013.

Dr. Anju did her MBBS at Government Medical College Kottayam, Kerala, India in 1998. Later she did her postgraduation in the same institution in 2004. She is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG), UK since 2014. She is also the life member of World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons (WALS) and has completed Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery from World Laparoscopy Centre, Dubai in 2019.

She worked 10 years at Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Sciences in Kerala (india) with clinical experience in high risk pregnancies and gynecology, as well as teaching for undergraduates and postgraduate students. Her last held post was associate professor (obs and gyne) and vice principal of student affairs

She actively participates in radio talks and camps for health awareness of women and adolescent girls.

Her special interest and areas of expertise are high risk pregnancy management, obstetric medicine, infertility, general gynaecology and minimally invasive procedures.
