Dr. Bassam Mohanad Ahmad

After graduation from dental college (BDS) at Baghdad University in 1999, Dr. Ahmad trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in a teaching hospital in Baghdad Medical City.

He obtained membership in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the Iraqi Board for Medical Specializations (FIBMS) in 2008. He also trained in laser applications in oral treatment in Radolfzell, Germany in 2015 and has undergone training in Implant Dentistry and modern techniques for bone augmentation & PRF application.

Dr. Ahmad joined Mediclinic in 2011.

• Full arch implant placement with full arch prosthesis
• Intraoral bone harvesting from the ramus to be fixed in bone defect area
• Facial bone reconstruction with autogenous bone grafting

• Exposure of impacted canine for orthodontic attachment
• Excision of all oral lesions and sending for biopsy for diagnosis
• Privilege to work under general anaesthesia

• Surgical extraction of deeply impacted teeth and badly broken teeth
• Gum depigmentation with Diod laser (case report published)
• Bone grafting with or without membrane
• PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) preparation and application in oral surgery
• Gingivectomy by laser
• Snoring treatment by no- invasive Diod laser
• TMJ pain treatment with laser or appliance
• RCT of teeth, fillings, crowns, inlay and onlay
