Dr Bejoy Peethambaran

Dr. Bejoy completed his MBBS in BLDEA’s Medical College , Karnataka- India, followed by MD in Dermatology & STD from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, Karnataka, India . He is also Board certified in Infection Control from USA. Dr Bejoy’s work experience spans 24 years of which he worked for 6 years as Medical Officer in Dermatology with Ministry of Health in Sultanate of Oman and 17 years to date with NMC specialty Hospital , Abu dhabi as Specialist Dermatology (since 2004). In addition he has been an Infection control practitioner since 2009 and is Head of Infection control at NMC Specialty hospital Abudhabi since 2013. As a Dermatologist , he is an expert in diagnosis and management of Dermatologic conditions and sexually transmitted diseases both on an outpatient and inpatient basis with special interest in Photodermatology, Contact Dermatitis and Therapeutics .

He has extensive experience in therapeutics particularly with newer biologic therapies , Phototherapy and is adept at Dermatological procedures, including Cryosurgery, Electrosurgery, Excision, Punch and Shave Biopsies and Laser surgeries.

Dr Bejoy takes keen interest in Cosmetic dermatology procedures such as Chemical Peels, Laser Resurfacing , Botox , Platelet rich plasma ( PRP) for hair loss and facial rejuvenation, Laser hair removal, etc. He also performs diagnostic techniques such as Patch testing for Allergic Contact Dermatitis and Dermoscopy.

Dr Bejoy is an executive council member of Psychodermatology association of India ( PDAI) in addition to being a member of various organizations such as APIC , IDSA etc. He has also published numerous papers in the Indian Journal of Dermatology and has presented numerous papers at conferences.
