Dr. Carlos Baptista (FRCPCH, SPP, AAP) is a Paediatrician with an interest in Paediatric Allergology and has over 20 years of experience as a medical doctor and general Paediatrics.
Dr. Carlos received his medical degree from the Lisbon Medical School in Portugal in 1993. He followed his pediatric training in the University Hospital Santa Maria in Lisbon until 2002. In 1999 he received a scholarship from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and in 2003 was awarded the Diploma in Allergy from the Southampton University in the United Kingdom.
Besides his continuing activities in the paediatric inpatient ward, ER and nursery in the Portuguese NHS, Dr. Carlos held the coordination and responsibility of the Outpatient Clinic of Pediatric Allergic Diseases, including diagnostic procedures such as food challenges, skin prick testing and spirometry. Later, he also assumed the Department Coordinator for Medical Education at the Lisbon South Bay Barreiro Montijo Hospital Center. He held also private practice since 2002 in Paediatrics and later in Paediatric allergies in several clinics.
In 2016, Dr. Carlos moved to UAE and continued is work in outpatient/inpatient paediatric units and paediatric allergy clinics at reputable healthcare facilities in Dubai before joining HealthBay.
