Dr. Deiar Habib

Dr. Deiar Habib is our Gastroenterology Consultant at Danat Al Emarat Hospital. With more than 35 years of experience, Dr. Deiar worked in many leading medical organizations in UAE and Iraq. He specializes in upper GIT endoscopy, including esophageal variceal sclerothaoy, band ligation, esophageal stricture, dilatation, achalasia balloon dilatation and esophageal tumor stenting.

He is experienced in diagnostic and therapeutic of lower GIT endoscopy, including diagnostic colonoscopy, polypectomy and ileoscopy. Also ERCP diagnostic procedures, like sphinctrerotomy, billiary stenting, billiary stone extraction, naso-billiary catheterization and pyloric stenting. Dr, Deiar also is experienced in liver biopsy.

EDUCATION

Dr. Deiar graduated from college of medicine,Baghdad University,(1979), and earned diploma in Internal medicine(1988). He is also board certified Internal medicine (2001), board certified gastroenterology and hepatology sub-specialty (2005). He also did Endoscopy training course in Syria and Belgium (2005 – 2009). Dr. Deiar is a fellow of European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE), World Gastroenterology & Endoscopy Organization (WGO – OMED) and Iraqi Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
