Dr. Esra Guzeldemir

Dr. Esra is a periodontist with 24 years of clinical experience. She graduated from Hacettepe University and received her Ph.D. in Periodontology at Ankara University, Turkey.

She was the founder of the Department of Periodontology and a full-time professor at Kocaeli University before joining our team. She was the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry for 3 years and held many administrative positions at both the Faculty of Dentistry and the university’s President’s Office. She also worked as a Research Associate at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, University of Louisville School of Dentistry in the USA between 2004 and 2007.

Her areas of clinic interest include aesthetic smiles, treatment of gingival recessions, gum diseases and gingival management around implants.

She is passionate about creating beautiful smiles and healthy gums in her patients and maintaining their oral health over the long-term.

Highly passionate about periodontology, Dr. Esra received several national and international awards for her research. She is the co-author of 4 scientific books published in both Turkish and English.

She is a member of the European Federation of Periodontology, the Turkish Society of Periodontology, the Turkish Dental Association, the International Team for Implantology, and the Society of Osseointegration.

Dr. Esra speaks both English and Turkish. She is the mother of a 7-year-old boy. In her spare time, Dr. Esra enjoys travelling, driving, doing yoga and pilates. She also has a keen interest in movies.
