Dr. Essam Riad

Professor Dr. Essam Riad is a Consultant Urologist at Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi. He completed his MBCH, MS, and MD at Ain Shams University, Egypt. He is a Member of the European Association of Urology, the American Association of Urology, and the American Society of Sexual Dysfunction and Impotence Research. Prof. Dr. Essam was a Professor and Chairman of the Urology Department at the Theodor Bilharze Medical Research Institute (TBRI) and an Associate Professor at Berlin University’s Charite Hospital. He held the position of Consultant Urologist at well-renowned hospitals in Qatar and Saudi Arabia. With more than 20 years of experience in his field, Prof. Dr. Essam’s areas of expertise are laparoscopic uroconstructive and oncosurgery, endoscopic management of urinary stones, and management of men’s health problems like erectile dysfunction, infertility, underdeveloped genital organs, enlarged prostate, and neurogenic bladder. He is also highly experienced with the implantation of penile prostheses and management of female stress incontinence.
