Dr. Fadel Shabeeb

Dr. Fadel Shabeeb, MD, is an Associate Staff Physician in the Digestive Disease Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Shabeeb was a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at Senawang and Shah Alam Medical Center, Malaysia.

Dr. Shabeeb received his medical degree with honors from the University of Assiut Faculty of Medicine, Egypt. He completed his two year long ​Surgical Oncology residency in South Egypt Cancer Institute, where he gained vast experience in providing care for cancer and terminally ill patients. He completed his General Surgery residency at the National University of Malaysia Medical Center. He later qualified as a General Surgeon and became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS), in 2010.

He specializes in Minimally Invasive Colorectal Surgery, with a focus on laparoscopic colorectal resections for cancers and other bowel pathology, anorectal, pelvic floor disorders and bowel cancer screening.

He has been involved in mentoring and teaching medical students and surgical residents and held the position of Senior Lecturer at Monash University. He participated in multiple studies to achieve the development of high-quality education and the formation of a strong foundation for the development of effective patient care.

Dr. Shabeeb resides in Abu Dhabi with his wife and daughter. He enjoys spending time with family and traveling.
