Dr. Fawaz Kateb

Anesthesia Specialist

Dr. Fawaz Kateb is an expert anesthesiologist with more than 30 years of practice in high caliber, private and governmental medical institutions. He demonstrates premium patient care and outstanding skills in delivering anesthesia to various ages of patients, undergoing different types of surgeries. After obtaining his MD 1982 he joined Damascus faculty of medicine as a tutor and got an academic degree in post graduate anesthesia studies, then joined military service where he got field anesthesia experience. Afterward, he joined anesthesia private sector in several major hospitals, practicing all branches of anesthesia (regional and general), to all ages from neonate to elderly. In 2009 he obtained a diploma in hospital management and established several operation theaters in new hospitals.

Dr. Fawaz Kateb served in Syria as ministry of health adviser for hospital affairs in 2010 and was elected as general secretary for Syrian society of anesthesiologists. In 2012, he moved to UAE, Abu Dhabi and worked for one of the most reputable hospitals for seven years, adding more experience. In 2019, he moved to Dubai Healthcare City as Anesthesiologist and medical director of one day case surgery. Currently, Dr Fawaz Kateb is working at Harly Street day case surgical center in Abu Dhabi.
