Dr. Firas Al Badarin, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Heart and vascular institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Al Badarin was an Invasive Cardiologist at Prairie Heart Institute of Southern Illinois.

Dr. Al Badarin received his medical degree from the University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Henry Ford Hospital/ Wayne State University, Detroit, MI, USA. Afterwards, he completed his training in General Cardiology and Cardiac Imaging at the University of Missouri, Kansas City/ Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute, Kansas City, MO, USA. He also completed a Cardiovascular Outcomes Research fellowship and received a master's degree in Clinical Bioinformatics/Clinical Research Focus from the School of Medicine, Department of Health and Bioinformatics, University of Missouri, Kansas City, Kansas City, MO, USA.

During his training, Dr. Al Badarin developed special interest in various non-invasive imaging modalities, especially radionuclide cardiac imaging (also known as, nuclear cardiology), including Positron Emission Tomography (PET), Cardiac Computed Tomographic Angiography (CCTA). He also became particularly passionate about understanding how different imaging technologies can be used to improve the efficiency of care for patients suspected to have coronary artery disease. He has published several peer-reviewed articles on how information from non-invasive imaging can be used to optimize outcomes and quality of life for patients.

Dr. Al Badarin resides in Abu Dhabi with his wife and two boys. He enjoys spending time with his family on activities, including swimming, playing soccer and biking. During his free time, he likes to play tennis and read books on self-improvement and meteorology.
