Dr. Hayder Al-Saadi

Dr. Hayder Al-Saadi, MBChB, PhD, FRCS, is a Consultant Orthopedic & Trauma Surgeon at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Al-Saadi previously worked in Rashid Hospital for 16 years and has extensive experience in the treatment of all types of bone fractures and fracture complications, including malunion and non-union. With a total of 27 years of experience, he has performed more than 4000 procedures.

Additionally, he is an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at Dubai Medical University and Mohammed Bin Rashid University. He is also a member of the Association of Trauma (AO TRAUMA), MENA Regional Committee. Dr. Al-Saadi serves as a reviewer in multiple medical journals, including the Surgical Science Journal, The Surgeon (Journal of Royal College of Surgeons of Edenborough and Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland), the Musculoskeletal Research Journal and the Cureus Journal.

Dr. Al-Saadi was the Co-Director of the Dubai Residency Program in Orthopedics and Trauma, (German Fachartz Program and Arab Board Program). His duty was to teach, observe and exam residents during their 5 years residency program. He is also very active in scientific meetings and was a faculty speaker in more than 100 international courses and congresses. Furthermore, he was the UAE Chapter Co-Leader in the COVID-SURG group (an International research group based in the UK) which published many scientific articles during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A graduate of the Medical College at Baghdad University, he ranked 2nd in his cohort and graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, where he obtained his membership. Moreover, he is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCS). He received a fellowship from the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Al-Saadi received his PhD in Trauma & Orthopedics from Jordan University.

Moreover, Dr. Al-Saadi possesses an AO Fellowship from the UK, an OTC Fellowship from Spain and an ARI fellowship from Switzerland.
