Dr. Hiba Mohammed joins ACPN from Ahalia Hospital as Consultant Pediatrician. Dr. Hiba completed her clinical MD in Pediatrics in 2004. She completed her subspecialist membership in Pediatric Neurology from the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health, UK in 2016, and a membership in General Pediatrics from the same institution in 2010. She attained her MBBS in 1998 from University of Khartoum, Sudan. She holds medical licenses from HAAD, UAE, and from her home country Sudan as Consultant Pediatrician.

Dr. Hiba served in the government sector at Mafraq Hospital as Consultant Pediatrician - Pediatric Neurology department for 6 years prior to her move to the private healthcare sector in 2015. During her role at Mafraq Hospital, she also took up a teaching role as Clinical Instructor and Coordinator at the Gulf Medical College, Ajman for a period of 1 year. Since her move to the private healthcare sector in 2015, Dr. Hiba was involved in establishing the Pediatrics Neurology department in Al Noor Hospital, and Ahalia Hospital in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Her experience in pediatrics spans 13 years serving across the MENA region including Sudan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

Dr. Hiba’s experience involved a deep dive into pediatrics epilepsies, neuro-metabolics, developmental pediatrics such as ADHD, autism, and developmental delay work-up. Additionally, she is skilled in treating spasticity in cerebral palsy using Botox injections. In the evolving field of pediatric neurology, she strives to improve her skills as a pediatrician and knowledge in neurology.
