Dr. Hisham Mirghani Mubarak

Prof. Hisham has more than 30 years of experience in the fields of obstetrics & gynecology and fetal medicine. He was the chair of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the United Arab Emirates University. He was the chief of the first fetal medicine unit in UAE at Tawam Hospital, Al Ain. He also established the first Fetal Medicine Unit in Sudan at the University of Khartoum. He was also awarded with many prizes in scholarships during his professional career.

EDUCATION

Prof. Hisham graduated from Cairo University (M.B.,B.Ch), Egypt in 1986. He completed his specialization training in obstetrics & Gynecology, and obtained master in obstetrics & gynecology from Khartoum University, Sudan, 1993. Prof. Hisham completed 4 years of structured training in Northern Region Rotation, England, UK, and was awarded the Member of Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, London, UK, 1995. He completed one year training in advanced obstetrical ultrasound, 1996, and earned a fellowship in maternal fetal medicine at University of Toronto, Canada, 1999. Prof. Mubarak completed a Master Degree in Medical Education from the University of Maastricht, The Netherland in 2012.
