Dr. Huda Sadek

Dr. Huda Sadek is a consultant Neurodevelopment Pediatrician. Graduated from Tripoli and trained in UK. she obtained certificate for completion of training (CCT) in Community Child Health and a CCT in general pediatric (duel).

Experience in Neurodevelopment Pediatric:

She worked as a consultant pediatrician in child development department for 3 years in UK. In addition to 3 years’ experience at Registrar (specialist level) during her Specialist registrar training. Dr. Huda has vast experience in assessing and plan management for children with Development issues and problems, autism, ADHD and behavioral issues for children less than 5 years of age. In addition tolooking after children with profound medical and Neurodisability.

In Her last designated job she was the lead for the less than five years old children development service.

Dr. Huda is competent in working with multiagency teams, contributing to and chairing multidisciplinary meetings for children with complex needs. She is also confident in providing medical advice for the local authority as part of statutory assessments, and contributing to the Special Educational Needs Panel, and preparing medical reports for adoption as a part of her job in UK.

Neurodisability

This includes profound physically disabled children, developmentally delayed and those with Neurodevelopmental disorder both in outpatient setting as well as in patient. As a specialist ad part of her training, Dr. Huda has one-year experience in Neurology & Neurodisability in a tertiary level center. During this time, she gained experience in the management of children with complex epilepsy and complex neurodisability, behavioral difficulties and Neurodevelopmental delay.

Dr. Huda participated in the epilepsy and medical review clinic in addition to the child psychiatry/behavioral clinic. She also participated in weekly complex epilepsy clinic at Great Ormond Street Hospital. This post gave her the opportunity to learn and to interpret EEG’s.

Experience in General Pediatrics and Neonatology

Dr Huda in addition to CCT in Neurodevelopment, has obtained CCT general pediatric. She is able to manage acute and chronic pediatric issues at consultation level. she had a total of 50 months experience in general pediatrics which included covering general pediatric clinics, out of hours on call duties and covering pediatric emergencies in A&E department. she also runs a regular and supervised ward round in the children ward and she gained a wide range of experience in managing common and uncommon acute child health problems. In addition, she received excellent training and has very good experience in Neonatology. She worked as a specialist in neonatal medicine in various neonatal intensive units mostly level 2 and 3 for 48 months during her training period.
