Dr. Iman Mukhtar Hamour

Dr. Iman Mukhtar Hamour, MD, is an Associate Staff Physician in the Heart and Vascular Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Hamour was a Cardiology Specialist at Al Ain Hospital, Al Ain, UAE.

Dr. Hamour received her medical degree from Khartoum University, Sudan. She worked as a Locum Medical Officer at Manchester General Hospital prior to starting her residency training at Colchester General Hospital, Essex, UK.

Dr. Hamour completed four years of Internal Medicine training and was awarded the membership of the Royal College of Physicians of London (MRCP, UK). She then underwent her initial basic Cardiology training at Kent and Sussex Hospital, Kent, UK.

Dr. Hamour spent seven years at the The Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust, the first and largest transplant center in the United Kingdom. She received highly specialized training and gained experience in clinically managing patients with advanced heart failure, artificial, short and long-term, cardiac assist devices and cardiothoracic transplantation.

She has extensive knowledge of transplant immunology and took part in extensive heart transplant research during her training. Dr. Hamour has particular interest in managing individuals through their heart failure journey, advanced heart failure therapies and cardiovascular imaging.
