Dr. Ivana Romac Coc

Dr. Ivana Romac Coc, MD, is an Associate Staff Physician in the Eye Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Coc was a Specialist Ophthalmologist at the University Eye Hospital Svjetlost, Zagreb, Croatia, the nation’s largest private hospital for Ophthalmology.

Dr. Coc received her medical degree from the School of Medicine at the University of Zagreb, Croatia. She has also completed postgraduate doctoral studies in biomedicine and health sciences, as well as postgraduate studies in ophthalmology, also at the University of Zagreb.​ She completed her residency in ophthalmology at the University Eye Hospital Svjetlost. She is certified by the United Kingdom General Medical Council, as well as by the Croatian Medical Chamber.​

She specializes in ocular surface diseases, cataract and refractive surgery. She is a member of a number of international professional organizations, including the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, American Academy of Ophthalmology and Croatian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

In addition to her medical practice, Dr. Coc has been involved in research on the immunology of the eye, including work as a Research Assistant at the Ruđer Bošković Institute, Zagreb, Croatia and has published several papers on the topic.
