Dr. John Doyle

Dr. John Doyle, MD, is Chief of Anesthesia in the Anesthesiology Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Doyle was a Professor of Anesthesiology at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. He has a longstanding interest in Ear, Nose, Throat (ENT) anesthesia and difficult airway management, as well as the use of technology in medicine.

Dr. Doyle’s interest in research has been supported by a number of funding agencies and he holds positions on multiple editorial boards. His inventions include US Patent No. 4,203,008, as well as some unpatented bioacoustics inventions.

Dr. Doyle received his medical degree in 1982 and his PhD in Biomedical Engineering in 1986, both from the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He received his Canadian Board Certification in Anesthesia (FRCPC) in 1986 and his American Broad Certification in 1989. Additionally, Dr. Doyle holds masters' degrees in Engineering, Post-Secondary Education and Medical Ethics.​
