Dr. Junaid Akhtar

Dr. Junaid Akhtar, MD, is an Associate Staff Physician at the Neurological Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Akhtar was an assistant consultant in the Neurology Section at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and was previously a senior registrar at King Khalid University Hospital, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Akhtar received his medical degree from Sindh Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan, followed by residencies in Internal Medicine and Neurology at the Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, Pakistan. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology also at the Aga Khan University Hospital.
