Dr. Laith Bakir started Ibn Nafees Medical Center in late 1999 as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in order to provide the best in Orthopaedic healthcare.
He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine in Iraq in 1978. He then traveled to the Ireland and went on to become qualified as a Specialist in Orthopaedics, while attaining his Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Ireland. He travelled to the UAE as the Head of the Orthopaedic Department and lectured at leading hospitals in the UAE.
