Dr. Leonardo J. Duin Guerrero

Dr. Leonardo J. Duin Guerrero, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Anesthesiology Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and specializes in General Anesthesiology.

Dr. Duin received his medical degree in 1999 from Los Andes University, Merida, Venezuela. He began his medical journey as an Internal Medicine resident at Dr. Patrocinio Peñuela Ruiz hospital in his hometown San Cristobal, Venezuela.

Dr. Duin then moved to Spain in 2005 to continue his academic training and specialization. Once in Spain, he validated his medical degree by the Spanish Health Authorities, with the approval of Alcala de Henares University. After participating in a national concourse, he obtained one of the nine places to start the Anesthesiology Residency Training Program at Hospital Universitario La Fe, Valencia, Spain in 2005.

After completing his Anesthesia training in 2009, Dr. Duin became an Anesthesiologist at Son Llatzer Hospital, Palma de Mallorca, Spain from 2009 to 2017. He consolidated his knowledge in different areas of the specialty, including general and regional anesthesia, obstetrics anesthesia, pediatrics anesthesia, management of the post-operatory acute pain and management of post-operatory critically ill patients. Dr. Duin also served as a tutor to new residents taking part in the Anesthesia Residency Academic Program at the hospital.

Now residing in Abu Dhabi, he is honored to become part of the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi family.​​
