Dr. Mahadev Paryekar completed his MBBS at Goa Medical College, Bombay, India in 1982 and received his Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Bombay, India in 1986. He became a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) London, UK in 1999, and became a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) London, UK in 2003.
