Dr. Mahamood Edavalath

Dr Mahamood Edavalath has managed all aspects of adult endocrinology and diabetes in a career that saw him start out at hospitals in his native India before spending over a decade in the UK. After graduating in India he moved to the UK where he has worked as a consultant before joining ICLDC in 2015. Dr Edavalath’s clinical interest in diabetes includes multimodal interventions like cardiovascular risk reduction, management of dyslipidaemia, hypertension and use of emerging therapies such as incretin based treatments. In endocrinology his special interests are in thyroid, pituitary, adrenal and calcium disorders. Dr Edavalath is also a Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of London. He is passionate about education and has substantial teaching and academic experience, including publications in a number of peer reviewed journals
