Dr. Prof. Mangalath Narayanan Krishnan

Dr.M.N.Krishnan has undergone DM Cardiology from the prestigious national apex institute, The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India, Comprehensive training in clinical cardiology including emergencies, outpatients and inpatients; treadmill electrocardiography, echocardiography, cardiac catheterization, basic electrophysiology and cardiac pacing.

He has always been involved in various academic activities like seminars, symposiums, research projects and teaching MD students. He has been working in the Department of Cardiology, Medical College, Calicut as a faculty from 1988 onwards with independent charge for patient care, investigative procedures, and teaching and research activities, Professor of Cardiology from 1998 onwards and Professor and Head of Cardiology from 2007 onwards.

Also, He has been working as senior consultant Interventional cardiologist with an experience of 28 years in interventional cardiology. Dr.Krishnan has been an examiner for post-doctoral fellows during the years 1999 to 2002 & 2007 onwards in Sri Ramachandra Medical Center, Chennai, Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, Bangalore, Post graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, Sri Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum, Chairman, Board of Examiners, Govt. Medical College, Calicut.

He has also been an Inspector of Medical Council of India, Examiner Diplomate of National Board in Cardiology, 2008 and 2009–Armed Forces Hospital, New Delhi, Govt. Medical College, Calicut. Being the adroit person He is, Dr.Krishnan is a Fellow of American College of Cardiology (FACC), Fellow of Royal College of Physicians (Edin) (FRCP), Fellow of European Society of Cardiology (FESC), Fellow of Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions ( FSCAI), Fellow of Cardiological Society of India (FCSI), Life member – Cardiological Society of India and Association of Physicians of India, President , Cardiological Society of India , Kerala Chapter during 2008-2009.

He has over 50 papers published and various abstracts and papers presented at conferences and currently He is working as Interventional Cardiologist at Ahalia Hospital, Hamdan-Abu Dhabi-UAE.
