Dr. Mariam Al Shamsi

Dr. Mariam Al Shamsi is a UAE National consultant dermatologist bringing more than 25 years of experience in dermatology prior to joining Healthpoint in 2022, as Consultant Dermatologist. Dr. Mariam worked previously as a consultant dermatologist at AHS Hili Center, Al Ain. Earlier in her career, she worked outside the UAE as a Dermatologist Resident physician at Boston University, USA.

Dr. Mariam completed her medical training at the UAE University, Al Ain in 1996, obtaining MBBS (Medicine Degree). She then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Dermatology from Boston University, the USA in 2003.

Specialties

Mariam specializes in many fields within dermatology including the management of several diseases, including psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.

Awards & Accreditations

Throughout her career, Dr. Mariam has prioritized advancing her knowledge in dermatology by regularly attending conferences and courses. She has also made some impressive contributions, most notably within the Arab Board in Dermatology and Venerology in 2007 (from the Arab Board of Medical Specializations, Damascus, Syria) and the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine.
