Dr. Marie Josée Caron

Dr. Marie-Josée Caron is a consultant pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Healthpoint’s Department of Orthopedic and Sports Medicine. She previously held the role of pediatric orthopedic consultant at Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi from 2015 to 2019 and at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City from 2009 to 2015. Bilingual in English and French, Dr. Caron moved to the Middle East in 2009 from North America, where she worked across various hospitals and medical centers in Quebec, Canada and Los Angeles, California, USA, for 17 years. Dr. Caron gained her doctorate in medicine from Laval University Québec in 1995, and stayed on to complete a postdoctoral residency in orthopedic surgery, which she achieved in 2000. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and holds additional certification in advanced trauma life support and basic life support.
