Dr. Mateen Uzbeck

Dr. Mateen Uzbeck, MBBS, is a Staff Physician in the Respiratory Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Uzbeck worked as a Consultant within the Health Service Executive Ireland. He has a special interest in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for benign and malignant diseases of the lung and pleura, including Therapeutic Bronchoscopy, Endobronchial Ultrasound, Electromagnetic Navigation Bronchoscopy, Pleuroscopy and Bronchial Thermoplasty.

Dr. Uzbeck completed his postgraduate specialist training in Ireland and was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Respiratory and General Internal Medicine by the Irish Committee for Higher Medical Training. He also obtained a Fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology from the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, rated as one of the top cancer centers in the US. Dr. Uzbeck has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals and has presented original research in international scientific meetings and conferences. Dr. Uzbeck enjoys outdoor activities such as golf and clay pigeon shooting. He resides in Abu Dhabi with his wife and two children.
