Dr. Mohamed Abuzakouk, MBBCh, is a Staff Physician in the Respiratory Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Abuzakouk worked as a lecturer in Clinical Immunology and Allergy at Trinity College Dublin and then as a Consultant Immunologist and Allergist in the Department of Clinical Immunology and Allergy at Hull Royal Infirmary in the UK. During this time he also served as the Director of Clinical Studies in Hull-York Medical School and the Clinical Lead for the Northern Autoimmunity Educational Quality Assurance Group. In addition, he provided immunology consultancy services to a number of teaching hospitals in Ireland for accreditation purposes.

Dr. Abuzakouk has participated in a number of international studies and has published widely on many aspects of immunologic and allergic diseases in quality journals. He was also a principle investigator in a number of European multicenter research projects and has been active in national and regional medical organizations in the UK.

Dr. Abuzakouk was awarded his PhD degree in Immunology from Trinity College Dublin.​
