Dr. Mostafa Azab graduated with the degree of honors from Cairo University School of Medicine in 1997. Then, he finished his full-time residency training in 2002 at Cairo University Hospitals (3500 beds and considered the biggest tertiary trauma center in the middle east). Then, he was appointed as an assistant lecturer in Cairo University and finished a fellowship in shoulder arthroscopy in Bonn Germany in 2003, and completed his PhD degree in 2006 with sub- specialization in shoulder arthroscopy and open surgeries dealing with all shoulder sports injuries and degenerative diseases.

Dr. Mostafa Azab was assigned as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology in Cairo University and joined Burjeel Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Center in 2018. He also worked in the upper limb surgery unit in Saudi German Hospital in Jeddah from 2007 till 2015 during which he did more than 2900 surgeries related to shoulder and upper limb trauma, sports injuries and degenerative diseases.
