Dr. Ms Tharaka Rani Sreekumar

Ms. Tharaka Rani Sreekumar completed her BA in Psychology in 1983 and in 1985, she attained MA in Psychology with specialisation in Counselling Psychology and Psychology of Crime from University of Kerala, India. In 1988, she took up MBA in Marketing and Personnel Management from University of Calicut, India.

Ms. Tharaka is a highly experienced, empathetic, solution focused and person-centred, stress tolerant mental health professional with 24 years of extensive experience, of which 22 years in Abu Dhabi. She first started practising at Jeevan Prakash Child Centre - a wing of Central Institute on Mental Retardation (CIMR) in India as Psychologist. Functions included Parental and Family Counselling, Psychological Testing, and Behaviour Modification. Prior to that, she was also a Lecturer in Psychology for Teacher Trainees of “Diploma in Special Education in Mental Retardation” and Research Assistant at CIMR. In 1995, she came to United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi to continue her practise in Ahalia Hospital and became Senior Charge Psychologist in 2003. In 2013, she transferred to American Center for Psychiatry & Neurology, and in 2017 she transferred to Canadian Medical Center.

Ms. Tharaka was ranked first in BA Psychology and second in MA Psychology from University of Kerala in 1985.
