Dr. Mumtaz Khan

Dr. Khan worked as a consultant Rheumatologist in West Midlands UK and in Royal NMC khalifa city Abu Dhabi. Dr Khan received his MBBS degree from University of Peshawar Pakistan.

Dr. Khan undertook his basic medicine training in University Hospital Limerick obtaining membership of the Royal College Of Physicians Of Ireland. Following obtaining MRCP in Medicine, he started working in Rheumatology in 2007 and undertook higher specialist training in Rheumatology and General medicine under the Royal college of Physicians Of Ireland Higher specialty training program.

As a part of his training he did advanced fellowship in SLE and Vasculitis from Central Manchester University hospital, which is the Europe Centre of excellence for lupus and Vasculitis. He received training in both diagnostic and interventional MSK ultrasonography from European League of Rheumatism. Dr Khan has worked in world-renowned rheumatology institutions such St. Vincent’s University Hospital Dublin and Central Manchester University Hospital.

Dr. Mumtaz Khan has extensive research experience and participated in numerous international trials as investigator. He was also centrally involved in many academic studies .Dr. Khan presented his research in various international Rheumatology meetings such as Irish Society of Rheumatology ,British society of Rheumatology , European League of Rheumatism and American College of Rheumatology annual meetings.

Dr. Khan was a lecturer and Tutor in the graduate medical school University of Limerick and Manchester University medical school. He was working as consultant Rheumatologist in West Midlands UK and in NMC Royal before joining Healthpoint.

Dr Khan has more than 10 years experience in managing a wide range of rheumatic conditions such as Rheumatoid arthritis, Psoriatic arthritis, Spondyloarthropathies, Gout etc and his areas of special interest are Lupus & vasculitis and Interventional Rheumatology which involves MSK ultrasonography for diagnostic purpose and guided procedures .

Dr Khan has dual specialty training both in internal medicine and in Rheumatology and completed advanced fellowship in lupus and Vasculitis from Central Manchester university Hospital.

Dr khan also received training in Musculoskeletal ultrasonography from European League of Rheumatism and has completed EULAR basic, intermediate and advance musculoskeletal ultrasonography training.
