Dr. Nada Omer Mohamed Elbashir

Dr. Nada Omer Mohamed Elbashir has joined Burjeel Hospital as a Consultant Psychiatrist. She completed her MBBS from Gezira University, Sudan, in 2002 and her MD in Psychiatry in 2013. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Sudanese Psychiatric Association. Dr. Nada started her career as Medical Practitioner at Taha Baasher Psychiatric Hospital in 2003 in Khartoum, then did her Residency Program in Psychiatry (Sudan Medical Specialization). She then moved to the UAE and has worked with well-reputed hospitals for nine years. She has been part of several workshops and conferences about psychiatric disorders and treatment therapies. Dr. Nada’s areas of interest include general adult psychiatry, child psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, and psychotherapy. She also has extensive experience in women’s mental health, schizophrenia, mood disorders, anxiety disorders (obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, PTSD, phobias), dementia, and with specific experience in assessing pre-bariatric surgery patients.
