Dr. Najat Amharar

Dr. Najat Amharar, MD, is an Associate Staff Physician in the Digestive Diseases Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Amharar was a Consultant General Surgeon at Al Zahra Hospital and University Hospital in Sharjah.

Dr. Amharar is French and UK Board certified. She received her Medical Degree from the Medical University of Rouen, France, 2008. She then completed her residency in 2013 at the Medical University of Bordeaux and Paris, France. She also completed her fellowship in two and a half years in General Surgery at the Catholic University Hospital of Lille, 2016.

Dr. Amharar later added two other subspecialty degrees, Trauma and Hepatobiliary Surgery in 2011 and 2013 respectively at Paul Brousse Institute, Paris and Bordeaux University Hospital.

Dr. Amharar conducted a study in 2013 about splenic blunt trauma conservative management, which was the basis of her thesis in medicine.

Dr. Amharar resides in Abu Dhabi, where she enjoys jogging, basketball and reading.
