Dr. Nikhil Sharma is an avid Orthodontist and Dentofacial Orthopedician with experience in treating numerous cases inclusive of complex orthodontic procedures. He holds a Masters in Dental Surgery from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, India. Dr Sharma has done his lingual orthodontics training with 3M to bring about aesthetic compatibility complementing the patient’s general health and well-being. He is the inventor of Shinelingual Orthodontic Appliance, a CAD-CAM lingual system (Patent-filed) and Shinelign clear aligner system. Dr. Sharma has presented papers at international conferences and published many articles in PubMed® Indexed journals.
For his research in the field of accelerated orthodontics he was awarded the Dr. Young Chel Park Award, Japan. His research was showcased at the World Implant Orthodontic Conference, 2016 held in Kobe, Japan.
More recently, his continuous work in Innovative Digital Orthodontics was appreciated at the World Dental & Oral Health Congress, London where he was invited as a Key-note Speaker on the topic of Digital Orthodontics. He has also been a key-note speaker at the Indian Orthodontic Society’s national conference, Orthobyte 2020 and a rising star speaker at 55th Indian Orthodontic Conference, 2021. Also, his work in orthodontics has won him the Young Achievers Award, London given by the World Dental Congress at the World Dental & Oral Health Congress, 2018 held in London, United Kingdom.
His continuous work in Lingual Orthodontics won him the First prize at the Scientific Session at National Lingual Orthodontic Conference, 2016.
