Dr. Nora El Shammah

Dr. Nora El Shammah, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Eye Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.​

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. El Shammah completed her fellowship programs at Moorfields Eye Hospital and Queen Victoria Hospital, in London, UK, where she subspecialized in oculoplastic surgery. She was also responsible for teaching and supervising ophthalmological residents.

Dr. El Shammah received her medical degree from the Vienna University, Vienna, Austria. She completed her ophthalmology residency, as well as her house officer training at St. John Hospital in Vienna. In her role as Deputy Chief of the Cataract Outpatient Clinic, Dr. El Shammah established and ran what became the largest cataract surgery center in Vienna.​

Dr. El Shammah is certified by the Austrian Board of Ophthalmology, as well as by the United Kingdom General Medical Council.​
