Dr. Praveen Kesav

Dr. Praveen Kesav, MD, is an Associate Staff Physician in the Neurological Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Kesav worked as a consultant neurologist for six years at several centers of excellence in India, after completing his degree in General Medicine and Neurology.

Dr. Kesav received his medical degree from the prestigious Government Medical College, Trivandrum, India under the University of Kerala. He subsequently completed his residency in Neurology from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India, followed by specialized post-doctoral fellowship training in stroke from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Trivandrum, India, both being recognized as institutes of national importance under Indian government.

Dr. Kesav has vast experience in the diagnostic evaluation and management of neurological diseases. His primary area of interest is medical management of stroke and prevention of stroke recurrence. He is inclined towards research activities and is associated with more than thirty peer-reviewed publications in academic journals of global repute. He has also co-authored a couple of book chapters pertaining to stroke epidemiology.
