Dr Raad Nari is one of ICLDC’s leading experts in the management of diabetes, with a focus on elderly patients. He has also notched up an extensive, award-wining career managing cases involving cerebrovascular disease, stroke, movement disorders and dementia. Indeed, over many years in the UK Dr Nari led various specialist research teams, as well as numerous departments specialising in strokes and related issues.
He received the UK national award for his work in the management of chronic conditions in 2013. In 2016 and 2017 he received distinction awards after completing post graduate diplomas in diabetes and endocrinology respectively, in the UK. His most recent achievement includes a distinction award in a Master’s Degree in Diabetes from the UK, for his research work on Sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) Inhibitors in 2018.
And, there is more. Dr Nari is also an experienced teacher, leading courses for junior doctors, noted as an honorary senior lecturer by the Imperial College of Medicine in London, and as an examiner for the UK’s Royal College of Physicians. He affords support to ICLDC’s regular MRCP workshops and is also the clinical lead for resuscitation services across all three centres.
Dr Raad joined ICLDC in 2014.
