Dr. Rajitha Lokadasan

Dr Rajitha brings on board over ten years of experience in Oncology. Prior to joining NMC, she was associated with KIMS CANCER CENTRE, KIMS HEALTH, Thiruvananthapuram, India as Consultant in Medical Oncology since 2019. At KIMS, she was involved in the specialized care of varied cancer populations from within India and abroad. She is a committed and compassionate oncologist with keen interests in the management of female malignancies pertaining to Breast, Gynecology, Lung and Intestinal Cancers. She had been instrumental in the conduct of successful bone marrow transplantation unit in KIMS whilst during her time there. Before joining KIMS, she was working in the REGIONAL CANCER CENTRE as Assistant Professor in Medical Oncology in the Chest and Gastrointestinal clinic. In addition to clinical work, she was actively involved in the Specialty training of DM students and clinical research.

Dr Rajitha completed Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) and MD (General Medicine) from Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. Further she pursued DM (Medical Oncology) from Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram. She has qualified the Specialty Certificate Examination in Medical Oncology conducted by the Royal College of Physicians of United Kingdom. She has participated in European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Preceptorship in Gastrointestinal tumors from Singapore. She has multiple research publication in peer reviewed journal as well as verified clinical reviews to her name. She has been organizer of a national level gynaec-oncology conference and been an active participant in various international and National Oncology conferences.
