Dr. Ramon Navarro Balbuena

Dr. Navarro Balbuena is a Spanish board-certified Neurosurgeon and Fellow of the European Board of Neurosurgeoans with extensive experience of more than 20 years from different countries including Spain, USA and UAE.  Dr. Navarro Balbuena received his basic medical degree from University of Navarra in Spain. He had completed his Specialization in Neurosurgery. After obtaining his Spanish board, he did one year Fellowship in Pediatric Neurosurgery in Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, USA, one year Fellowship in Spine Neurosurgery in Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, USA and two year Combined Neuro-interventional/Open Cerebrovascular Clinical Fellow in Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville in USA. Dr. Ramon Navarro Balbuena also worked for a year as a Clinical instructor for Cerebrovascular and Skull Base Surgery Program in Stanford University Hospital, California, USA.  Dr. Navarro Balbuena was working for the past five years in Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, UAE as Consultant Neurosurgeon and Neuro-interventional Surgeon and Cerebrovascular Program coordinator. He is also a past Clinical Professor at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University, USA and author of several papers in different fields of Neurosurgery.  Dr. Navarro Balbuena has special interest in Cerebrovascular conditions such as aneurysms, arterio-venous malformations (AVM) and stroke. He performs both open neurosurgery as well as endovascular treatment of brain and spine vascular conditions. He has also significant expertise in dealing with brain tumors both in children and in adults.
