Dr. Sangeeta Sharma

Dr. Sangeeta Sharma serves as the Medical Director of Al Ahalia Hospital, Abudhabi, Joint Commission International ( JCI) accredited Hospital, ISO 9001: 2015 certified organization with CAP accredited Pathology Lab. The Hospital has all the major specialties, super specialties, Urgent care services, NICU, ICU, Labor Room, Modern Operation theater and other Hospital services, working 24×7 and open to the customers 365 days of the year, providing world class quality healthcare services in a safe ,homely environment. Her current responsibility includes daily operations of the hospital, strategic planning in board meetings, communication with Health authorities, accreditation bodies as well as internal effective communication and innovations in the hospital.

She is also working as DoH Licensed Specialist Clinical Pathology, HOD & Lab Director of College of American Pathologists( CAP) accredited Hospital Pathology Lab with all clinical Pathology services, extensive test Menu and Blood bank.

She has organized international CMEs and actively participated as a speaker in National and International conferences.

She has done Post graduation and Residency from the prestigious Tertiary care Hospital ; Army Hospital, Research & Referral ( AHRR), New Delhi, India and has a vast experience in field of Lab Medicine with 13 years post PG experience and has also worked as a research associate in the Molecular Lab of AHRR .

She has also worked as Assistant and later Associate Professor, Pathology in MGM Medical College and Health sciences , Navi Mumbai, India for 5 years and was actively involved in teaching, dissertations, paper publications and research activities. She headed the Hematology division of the NABL accredited lab of MGM hospitals .She is a member of the Delhi society of Hematology in India and is also an editor in the International Journal of Advanced Microbiology and Health Research ( IJAMHR) ISSN:2457-077X

She has the Quality Management system and Internal Auditor training for ISO 15189 , 2012 , Medical Lab accreditation .

Doctor has worked as a General Physician in the Army Medical core ( AMC), seconded to Indian Air force as a short service commissioned Medical officer for 5 years and has served in forward Air Bases of India. She has also done Primary Aviation Medicine course from prestigious Institute of Aerospace Medicine, Bangalore , India and released from service as a Squadron Leader after completing her term.

Her skills are Leadership , Resilience, Communication, Strategic planning and Innovation .She is currently pursuing post graduate degree in Hospital and Healthcare management.
