Dr. Shazia Younis

Dr. Shazia Younis has over 15 years of clinical experience in the field of family medicine. She holds MRGCP degree from Royal College of General Practitioner, United Kingdom (INT).

She obtained her medical degree in medicine from Dubai Medical College of Girls in Dubai. She completed comprehensive residency program including placements in the Department of Surgery with Subspecialties in Pediatric Surgery, General Surgery, Cardio-thoracic , Accident – Emergency , Internal Medicine and Family Medicine.

Dr. Shazia worked in ministry of health as Specialist in Family Medicine and Technical Director in one of the PHC clinic. She also has experience of training Medical Students from Sharjah Medical University. She then moved to Dubai Health Authority PHC as Specialist registrar in Family Medicine.

Dr. Shazia’s main areas of interest include: Treatment, diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases for adults and children, Management of chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus , high cholesterol , asthma, thyroid disorders , headache and migraine, Management of irritable bowel syndrome, Management of fatigue and fibromyalgia, Management of anxiety and depression, Management of acute back pain and muscular disorders, Preparing the periodic checkup and preventive services, Management of eczema, atopic dermatitis, acne vulgaris and other common skin disorders, Ear, nose , throat and urinary tract infections for adults and children and Women health issues
