Dr. Silvia F. Mulero

Dr. Silvia F. Mulero, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Anesthesiology Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Mulero received her medical degree from the Universidad de Barcelona in June 2001. After a National Selective Competitive Exam, she earned a position as Medical Trainee in Anesthesiology and Critical Care at Hospital Clinic de Barcelona, one of the most reputable centers in Spain. There, Dr. Mulero started her preparatory courses for a PhD and was exposed to a variety of techniques, procedures and pertinent subspecialties (Acute and Chronic Pain Management, Critical Care and Care of Burnt Patients).

She then moved to Palma de Mallorca with her husband to join an enthusiastic team of professionals at Hospital Son Llatzer. While working there, she focused mainly on postgraduate mentorship, co-directing the residency program and chronic pain management. After five years, Dr. Mulero moved to Madrid to join a newly opened facility, Hospital Universitario Rey Juan Carlos, where she was responsible for building the Chronic Pain Unit at this facility, as well as working in the operating room. Dr. Mulero was mainly involved in thoracic surgery, obstetrics and neurosurgical procedures.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi in 2013, Dr. Mulero moved to Riyadh to work for the National Guard Health Affairs King Abdulaziz Medical City, with a special interest in high risk obstetrics.
