Dr. Soumendu Pal, MD, is an Associate Staff Physician in the Anesthesiology Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Pal was an Associate Consultant in Cardiac Anesthesia at B.M. Birla Heart Research Centre, Kolkata, India.

Dr. Pal earned his medical degree from the Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata, India, the first medical college established in Asia. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research, Kolkata, India, a tertiary referral government hospital and a national research institute.

He completed his training in Cardiothoracic & Vascular Anesthesiology at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Research, Trivandrum, India. He has also worked at other reputable hospitals in India, including Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon, India.
