Prof. Dr. Syed A Husain

Prof. Dr. Syed Arshad Husain is a senior Consultant Pulmonologist in dubai with over 35 years of experience in the field of respiratory and internal medicine, both in the National Health Services (NHS) UK and the Kings Hospital, in the UAE.

His career is marked by a dedication to clinical excellence, innovation in pulmonary diagnostics, and leadership in medical education and research

Worked as a Professor in Pulmonary medicine adjunct with Gulf Medical University, Ajman, UAE

Before joining Al Zahra Hospital Dubai, Prof Husain served for three and a half years at King’s College Hospital London – Dubai, where he continued his longstanding commitment to patient-centered respiratory care. Prior to his move to the UAE, he held the position of Consultant Respiratory Physician at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust in the UK for 15 years.

Prof Dr Husain is certified Physician and sleep apna specialist by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in the UK and holds a Fellowship from the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP). He completed his training in General Internal Medicine and Elderly Care from the Oxford region in 2002 and was awarded his Certificate of Specialist Training in Respiratory Medicine in 2005 from the South-West region.

He also completed advanced training in Interventional Bronchoscopy and Respiratory Medicine at the prestigious Royal Brompton Hospital in London, followed by a Fellowship in Medical Thoracoscopy and Interventional Bronchoscopy at the University of Lille, France.
