Dr. Tawfik Muammar

Dr Tawfik Muammar is a paediatrician of considerable experience, having spent over a decade in UK hospitals.

He boasts a particular understanding of handling children on the insulin pump, and in the management and follow up of complicated diabetes problems in children.

A career highlight during his previous  posting in Northern Ireland saw the team which he led responsible for improving patients average HbA1C, at rates much better than the UK’s national average.

Now hoping to apply that expertise in the UAE, Dr Muammar joined ICLDC in 2017.
