Dr. Teodor Stefanov

Dr. Teodor Stefanov, MD, is an Associate Staff Physician in the Anesthesiology Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, he was a Staff Anesthesiologist at Jilin Heart Hospital, Changchun, China, where he led the transformation of the Perioperative Care and the Cardiac Anesthesia Program in line with established international standards.

Dr. Stefanov was involved in the development of the largest private Cardiac Surgery Program in Bulgaria. He was also actively involved in teaching Anesthesiology residents and Cardiac Anesthesiology fellows in Bulgaria.

He is an active member of the Bulgarian Association for Blood Transfusion Alternatives and is a lecturer on topics related to Transfusion Free Surgery and Anesthesia. Dr. Stefanov also holds a European Certification in Adult Transeosphageal Echocardiography.
