Dr. Kokalj has more than 14 years of experience. She began her work at the University of Ljubljana first as an intern in the Emergency Department and then as a resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology department. She worked at several reputable hospitals in Slovenia and UAE before moving to Danat Al Emarat.

Dr. Kokalj completed her MBBS in 2002 at University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Her other qualifications include a certificate in Emergency Medicine and a MSc in Biomedicine from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. In 1999, she did an elective study in clinical medicine at the department of surgery at Alexandra University Hospital, Egypt and in 2001, she did an elective study in clinical medicine at the department hematology ay Monash University Hospital, Melbourne, Australia.
